The Near Witch Competition

So, author extraordinaire (I don't know if she really is an extraordinaire or not but I assume so) has announced her new competition to promote her new book, The Near Witch. I personally, cannot wait to read this book. The cover is gorgey and it looks positively wonderful. Therefore, I am extremely happy that the author Victoria Schwab is giving away a plethora of prizes related to her book as well as an ARC of the book itself! However, to enter you need to visit the author's website. You could read the rules on her website or watch the vlog below...

If you would like some more information about the book, here is the Goodreads Summary:

The Near Witch is only an old story told to frighten children.
If the wind calls at night, you must not listen. The wind is lonely, and always looking for company.
And there are no strangers in the town of Near.
These are the truths that Lexi has heard all her life.
But when an actual stranger—a boy who seems to fade like smoke—appears outside her home on the moor at night, she knows that at least one of these sayings is no longer true.
The next night, the children of Near start disappearing from their beds, and the mysterious boy falls under suspicion. Still, he insists on helping Lexi search for them. Something tells her she can trust him.
As the hunt for the children intensifies, so does Lexi’s need to know—about the witch that just might be more than a bedtime story, about the wind that seems to speak through the walls at night, and about the history of this nameless boy.
Part fairy tale, part love story, Victoria Schwab’s debut novel is entirely original yet achingly familiar: a song you heard long ago, a whisper carried by the wind, and a dream you won’t soon forget.

Some Girls Are Giveaway!

Yay, another contest! Because let's face it, who doesn't love a contest? And you're going to love me even more because this super awesome contest is international so all of my foreign buddies have a chance to win this prize! The winner will receive one copy of Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers which, by the way, has had some amazing reviews. The summary is below:

From Goodreads:
Climbing to the top of the social ladder is hard--falling from it is even harder. Regina Afton used to be a member of the Fearsome Fivesome, an all-girl clique both feared and revered by the students at Hallowell High... until vicious rumors about her and her best friend's boyfriend start going around.

Now Regina's been "frozen out" and her ex-best friends are out for revenge. If Regina was guilty, it would be one thing, but the rumors are far from the terrifying truth and the bullying is getting more intense by the day. She takes solace in the company of Michael Hayden, a misfit with a tragic past who she herself used to bully. Friendship doesn't come easily for these onetime enemies, and as Regina works hard to make amends for her past, she realizes Michael could be more than just a friend... if threats from the Fearsome Foursome don't break them both first.

Tensions grow and the abuse worsens as the final days of senior year march toward an explosive conclusion in this dark new tale from the author of Cracked Up To Be.

Sounds amazing doesn't it? I know for a fact that its probably on your wishlist if you haven't already read it that is. Anyways, just fill in this form for a chance to win.

-This contest will be open internationally.
-The closing date is 15th March.
-As stated in the form, I'll pick my favourite answers, number them and randomly select one using random.org.

Good luck!!

Just like I promised, I'm being the nicest person in the whole wide world and hosting a giveaway of Princess For Hire by Lindsey Leavitt.

A) run
B) faint
C) say yes?
For Desi Bascomb, who's been longing for some glamour in her Idaho life, the choice is a definite C). Desi has a rare ability: with the help of "Royal Rouge," she can temporarily transform into the exact look-alike of any princess who needs her subbing services. Dream come true, right?
Well, Desi soon discovers that subbing involves a lot more than wearing a tiara and waving at cameras.... In this winning debut, one girl's dream of glamour transforms into the desire to make a positive impact. And an impact Desi makes, one royal fiasco at a time.

The winner will win the UK copy of this book. Here are the rules:

Drawing With Light Giveaway!

I'm very excited to be hosting my second giveaway, especially as it is such an awesome prize. This competiton is giving you a chance to win an ARC of Drawing With Light by Julia Green. Published by Bloomsbury, this won't be available until March in the UK. Here is some information about the book:

Drawing With Light by Julia Green:
Kat and Emily have grown up without their mother for almost as long as they can remember. And now Dad is with Cassy and they all muddle along together well enough - even though they are living in a cramped caravan while their new house is being renovated. Then Cassy and Dad tell them that Cassy is pregnant, and everything seems to shift. Emily feels a new urge to find her own mother. How could she have left them the way she did? Never writing to them? Not communicating with them? And as Emily begins her search, not knowing what she will find, she is at the same time embarking on a new relationship of her own, that of her romance with Seb. This is an evocative and finely drawn novel about family relationships, in particular that of mother and daughter, and the shifting emotions of a teenager trying to make sense of her family and her world.

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning this prize just complete the form linked at the end of this post.

-You do not have to be a follower to enter.
-This contest will be open INTERNATIONALY!
-The closing date is February 20th 2010
