Waiting on Wednesday #30

Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Published: February 1st 2011 (HarperTeen)

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that one love -the deliria- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the governments demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

This looks so good. A really original plot with a little dystopia mixed in there for good measure. Lauren described it to be like a Romeo and Juliet type story so..yay. I like the cover but I preferred the cover they had on the ARC. I can't find a picture at the moment but it was like a girl with a grey sky and a few birds flying around. Anyhoodle, it looks good so I'm excited for this! I haven't read Before I Fall yet but its staring at me so I'll get around to it soonish.

If this is half as good as Before I Fall, it should be awesome.

I'm on tour to read this, so I'm excited for this one too! Plus a romeo/Juliet type sounds good. Haven't had one like that in a while! The cover looks nice- haven't seen the ARC one yet though...
Happy Reading!

Delirium! Only God knows how much I'm looking forward to read this book. I loved Before I Fall and Lauren's writing, so I believe I might like it as well. Let's see! :D

It sounds good! :) Reminds me a bit of the books by Gemma Malley - have you read anything by her? I think you'd like her writing.

I prefer the ARC cover as well. I wish I could own a copy, but even so, the cover is unique in its own way. Perhaps a bit too many blank spaces, maybe that's what is bothering me especially. :\
