Back In Business!

Well, my holiday time is now and officially over having returned from my one week delay in Turkey. Spending more than one week in another country makes me realise how much I heart England, even if I'm stranded somewhere as nice as Turkey. These past two weeks I've been an international jet-setter having travelled to three countries in two weeks. But now I'm back and back in business ready to start blogging again. I thought I'd share some of my favourite holiday snaps with you all...

China, Shanghai: 31st March-6th April

Luckily I managed to dodge the air traffic that week and visit Shanghai. I've always wanted to go to China so actually being there was a bit surreal. I have to admit, I didn't adjust too well to the culture shock and differences on the first day. Number one, their toilets consist of a dug-out whole in the floor where pee etc. has probably been floating around for the past week or so. I also had to pose for many photos with random people because they were so fascinated with all of the English people they found. It was rather embarassing having everyone constantly stare and point at you. Anyways, here is what I experienced...

I tried to pick out four pictures that showed the diversity of Shanghai. We visited many poorer areas as well as places with amazing skyscrapers. It all looks rather gloomy but it was sunny on some of the days. China was also a really good place to hone my love of photography. It was so much fun haggling for everything, visiting the gardens and busy city areas as well as trying the err...interesting food. I loved it there and would love to see more of China.

Turkey, Marmaris: 9th April-23rd April

Turkey was completely different to China. It was so hot everyday, there were no high-rise buildings and there were alot of beaches and hilly mountains which were also islands just floating in the water. It wasn't drastically different to the UK but it was still a really lovely holiday destination!

And there you have it. The past three weeks in pictures. I will have lots of reviews and coolio posts lined up for May and the tiny bit left of April. I hope everyone had a nice Easter!

I can't believe you went to China, that's amazing. I so rarely hear of anyone I know going there. Sounds like an awesome trip, despite the getting stranded thing.
