The engrossing companion novel to Princess of the Midnight Ball, with a wicked twist on Cinderella.
Hoping to escape the troubles in her kingdom, Princess Poppy reluctantly agrees to take part in a royal exchange program, whereby young princes and princesses travel to each other’s countries in the name of better political alliances—and potential marriages. It’s got the makings of a fairy tale—until a hapless servant named Eleanor is tricked by a vengeful fairy godmother into competing with Poppy for the eligible prince. Ballgowns, cinders, and enchanted glass slippers fly in this romantic and action-packed happily-ever-after quest from an author with a flair for embroidering tales in her own delightful way.
This one looks fabulous (mostly because of the cover). It reminds me of Princess For Hire and Magic Under Glass, both of which I dramatically loved. Cannot wait!

'I open my eyes. Everyone's staring at me. I feel myself getting hot. I'm sure I'm blushing. I HAVE made a fool of myself. They clapped everyone else. They even clapped Fareed and Hannah, and they were hopeless.'

I haven't read Princess of the Midnight Ball, but this kind of story sounds like something I'd like. Especially the Cinderella-ness. Great pick!
This seems like such a great read! I wonder if it's a form of satire.. Great pick!
Ooh, another gorgeous cover! Interesting pick - thanks!
I liked both Princess of the Midnight Ball and Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow which was also a retelling of a fairy tale. I am looking forward to this one too. Great pick!
